Scarlett

Featured adoption

Meet Scarlett! Let us introduce you to the most adorable hairless Pitbull mix we’ve ever seen. Scarlett came into the rescue with a pretty bad case of mange. She has been living in her foster home and receiving treatment for her skin condition and has made so much progress over the last couple months. She will no longer be Scarlett “No Hair”, as her skin is improving and her fur is starting to come back in. She is looking more and more like a happy-go-lucky puppy every day.

Scarlett is approximately 6 months old, 20 pounds, and is your typical puppy. She loves to play with her foster siblings and has learned to respect their boundaries. Since she is only 6 months old, she is getting better with potty training but occasionally has an accident. She does wonderfully in her crate while her foster mom is at work and during the night. She truly loves her people and likes to be touching at all times. Hopefully you have a spot in your home with Scarlett’s name on it. She’d make a wonderful addition to any family!

a New Family

3 days of feeling overwhelmed and nervous.

3 weeks of settling in.

3 months of building trust and bonding with you.

Please Keep In Mind…

The adoption fee for all dogs listed depends on the breed, age, vet care, cost to pull from the kill shelter, de-worming medicine, flea medicine, etc. The adoption fee BARELY covers all of the previous mentioned expenses. Please do not ask for us to lower the fee.

The dogs listed on this site are located at various foster homes throughout Ohio. We do not have a shelter therefore anyone wishing to visit one of our dogs must first complete an application and be an approved adopter for that dog.

Please make a note that the majority of the dogs are being kept in or around Lorain County, Ohio. We do not transport our dogs, you would need to come to Grafton, Ohio to a boarding facility that graciously allows us to use their facility to meet and possibly adopt any of our dogs.

You must be a minimum of 23 years old to adopt.

All adopters must fill out an application, NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE!

Adoption Application

We reserve the right to refuse any applicant for any reason if we feel the needs of the dog will not be properly met or the adoption is not in the best interest of the dog.

Please make sure you completely fill out the application before submitting it to us.
Missing information will delay the process and false information will result in your application automatically being denied.

The application and adoption processes are designed to match appropriate homes with appropriate dogs. While many dogs may be attractive to the eye, we are very careful to understand the lifestyle of each adopter since we clearly understand the individual needs of dogs in our care.

We do not ship dogs; we require that the applicant come to meet the dog and us before an adoption will be finalized. We adopt out to renters, to those living out of state but at this time we are unable to adopt out to someone who rents and lives out of state. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Our goal is to place dogs in happy, forever homes where the adopting party and dogs are both winners.

**** MOBILE USERS: Some applicants have issues when trying to submit the online application from their mobile phones or tablets. To avoid these issues, we recommend completing the application on a computer or downloading the application and emailing it to the rescue. *****
