FEATURED ADOPTION
Meet Holton, a 30lb Pit mix puppy. He found his way to our rescue after being thrown out of a moving car and suffering a spinal injury. He is mostly healed from that, but now Holton walks a little funny, almost like he’s drunk. He doesn’t think he is any different than other dogs, though. Holton also has a heart defect and will require medications for his whole life plus yearly visits to the cardiologist. Luckily, the problem with his heart shouldn't affect Holton’s life any.
Holton is a puppy who is very toy-motivated. He especially likes the ones that are good for chewing! He is already crate-trained and almost fully potty-trained, but will need a patient family who can help him learn to walk properly on a leash.
Holton would love to belong to a home that has another dog to play with! He hasn’t been around cats or kids enough to know if he likes them yet but probably should avoid super young kids because he is still into puppy nipping. Despite Holton’s rough start to life, he is a silly young dog who loves everyone and is looking for an active family. If a goofy puppy with a wobbly walk sounds like a good fit for your family, then he is the pup for you!
